Ancient Roman prostitutes did something similar, but usually they would have phalluses inscribed in their sandals. So, if you were ever in the mood, you could just look down and follow the dicks.

The nazis gave the swastika a bad name. it is an ancient symbol that has been used for over 12000 years. IT has been used as a symbol of peace and love before Adolf Hitler gave it a bad stigma

The word “swastika” comes from the Sanskrit svastika - “su” (meaning “good” or “auspicious”) combined with “asti” (meaning “it is”), along with the diminutive suffix “ka.” The swastika literally means “it is good.”

The earliest swastika known has been found in MezineUkraine. It is carved on late paleolithic figurine of mammoth ivory, being dated as early as about 10,000 BC. It has been suggested this swastika may be a stylized picture of a stork in flight and not the true swastika that is in use today.
